Gamescom: Clean Sonic Lost World Footage Released

Sometimes Silence Isn’t Golden
There are two videos out of this year’s Gamescom that we’d like to share with you.  Both show off clean gameplay footage from the Wii U and 3DS version of Sonic Lost World.
In the Wii U version, you’ll see Silent Forest, Windy Hill and Frozen Factory in action.  On the 3DS side, Desert Ruins and Frozen Factory are seen.
But it’s what you won’t hear that may be most interesting.  Sega has gone out of their way to remove the game’s background music from both videos.  Why?  Nobody is really sure–Sonic music is as much a part of the Sonic mystique as anything else.  Furthermore, much of the in-game tunes can be heard in other gameplay videos.  It is certainly a puzzling decision, and if nothing else it may indicate the soundtrack isn’t quite final yet.
Still, if you’re most interested in seeing how Lost World plays, take a look at the two videos below.
